The Sentry .... Limited Edition Canvas Print (Giclee)

Dressed in traditional moccasins with upturned toes, only worn by the Apache, this giclee replica of 'The Sentry' measures 18" x 36" and is primed for framing. Part of a limited edition of 250, each print is signed and numbered by the artist, with this particular image being numbered 20/250. During the period of the Apache wars, spanning from 1849 until Geronimo's surrender in 1886, the United States faced numerous challenges in locating and engaging with the various tribes. It wasn't until General Crook began utilizing Apache scouts that they finally saw some success. In this painting, 'The Sentry', an Apache warrior stands guard on the mesa, keeping a watchful eye on the approaching trail. In the distance, a cloud of dust from riders can be seen, but it is too far to discern whether they are allies or enemies.

Also available as a Limited-Edition Print, or a Metal Print.
