The second painting completed after moving to the Apache reservation, 'Leave No Trail' has  become the most sought-after piece so far. Crafted with oil on canvas, the original measures 24” x 36”. The Apache were known for their mastery of concealment, with government soldiers struggling to locate and engage them in battle until the hiring of Apache scouts by General Crook. This image captures the scene of Apache warriors riding through a narrow canyon and a stream, carefully concealing their trail. Dressed in traditional war headbands and moccasins with upturned toes, the Apache are one of the few tribes to fashion their footwear in this unique manner.
